Years of use had caused visible deterioration in the Ardmore pool and bathhouse, and as a traditional pool, the facility had little to offer beyond lap swimming and diving. To contain costs, the City focused on a renovation plan that limited the construction on the pool and incorporated new features within the original pool structure. The renovated pool included many new features such as a zero-depth entry, floatables, water drops, a current channel, and more and the newly renovated pool opened in 2006 to crowds of people and its first successful season in years!
