The cost to maintain the wading pool increased significantly and in an attempt to lower maintenance costs, the City replaced the high-maintenance wading pool located in historic Loose Park with a new state-of-the-art spray park. The spray ground featured plenty of shade, colorful concrete, and many interactive spray features, including a large blue heron that shoots water. In addition, to control costs and utilize an existing on-site structure, the original stone bathhouse was preserved and used to shelter the filter and chemical systems.
