The new spray ground in Hutchinson was located at the Kansas State Fairgrounds and replaced an existing pool. Several above ground and flush-mounted sprays were configured to provide a pleasing attraction that required minimal staffing. Unique to this project, the City provided the manpower on a large portion of the project while contracting out the concrete and building construction. The City also provided the spray features, sunshades, plumbing and electrical work for the project to control costs.
