The City of Fort Dodge previously operated a failing pool at Oleson Park. As an element of a park master plan, the City replaced the pool with a low maintenance and non-staffed spray ground, while utilizing the existing filter building to control costs. The design of the new spray ground featured a circular follow-the-path design with spray features on either side of the path. The showcase piece of the spray ground was a large interactive water feature with controllable shooting water and waterfalls.
